The Race to the 2024 Podium – Who Will Seize Victory in the Final Two Rounds of The Super Lap Series?
September 10, 2024Super Lap Series: The Final Showdown at Homestead Speedway!
October 16, 2024On August 10th and 11th, FARA Racing proudly launched its long-anticipated Competition School at Homestead-Miami Speedway, successfully preparing a new wave of licensed racers for the track. Under the expert guidance of our Comp School Director, Luiggi Farro, a 15-year racing veteran, students took on a series of rigorous exercises designed to simulate real-world racing scenarios. The weekend was a resounding success, showcasing FARA’s dedication to educating and developing safe, skilled, and competitive racers.
The track was abuzz with excitement as participants, driving high-performance street cars, engaged in drills that tested their ability to handle side-by-side racing, passing without point-bys, and managing close-quarters driving at high speeds. Exercises like the “Half Track Drills,” where drivers had to hug one side of the track while mastering open passing, and “Side-by-Side Drills,” where racers practiced driving in pairs with minimal gap between them, were just some of the highlights that left the audience in awe. At one point, the drivers moved in tight formation, a sight to behold as they demonstrated their new skills with precision and control.
FARA Racing is thrilled to congratulate the following drivers on earning their competition licenses during this intense and rewarding weekend:
- Ben Arce – Porsche 911
- Adrian Minor – Porsche Boxster
- Richel Hernandez – Porsche Carrera S
- Michael Towle – BMW M3
- Stephen Sousa – Porsche GT3RS
- Kurt Kropp
- Trevor Bhawanidin – BMW M3
- Sherin Al-Safadi – Porsche Cayman Clubsport
- Roberto Moreno – BMW M3
- Hal Gould – Porsche GT4
- Avi Cohen – Corvette Z06
- Michael Romaniw – Chevrolet Camaro
Under the watchful eye of Luiggi Farro, all participants successfully completed the program and are now FARA competition license holders, ready to hit the track with confidence. Their hard work and dedication during the school were evident as they navigated demanding drills and exercises, ensuring they are fully prepared for the challenges of competitive racing.
We are proud of our newest license holders and look forward to seeing them on the track, embodying the skill, safety, and sportsmanship that FARA Racing stands for. Congratulations to all!
